ISYY's day trip to IKEA

Did you just arrive in Finland and your apartment and cupboards look empty? Are you in need of household items? Join ISYY’s day trip to IKEA Kuopio on Saturday 16 September and get all necessities to your apartment in one trip!

You can join the trip from either Joensuu and Kuopio campus. The departure is at 9 am from Joensuu campus and at 10.30 am from Kuopio campus. On the way back, the buses will stop in different residential areas, so that bringing your purchased items home will be easier. You can check the planned stops for both Joensuu and Kuopio from the route below.

What does the trip cost?

A ticket from Joensuu costs 16 € and a ticket from Kuopio costs 7 €. You can buy your ticket from Kide.app or from ISYY’s offices during office opening hours. Ticket sales open Tuesday 29 August at 10 am in Kide.app and at ISYY offices. Ticket sales end on 7 September at 3 pm at the ISYY offices and at 11.55 pm in Kide.app. If you buy your ticket from Kide.app, please note that a service fee of 0.50 € is added to the price. Please note that the event is meant for ISYY members and so requires ISYY membership.

Due to limited luggage space in the bus, it is not possible to purchase a sofa or other very large item.

Please be at campus 15 minutes before departure time in the morning.

Joensuu

• 9 am Departure from Carelia (Yliopistokatu 2)
• 11 am Arrival in IKEA
• 4.30 pm - 4.45 pm Be at the parking lot of IKEA
• 5 pm Departure from IKEA
• 7 pm Arrival in Joensuu and dropping everyone off at different student housing areas
  • Noljakka (Noljakankaari), Penttilä (Peltolankatu), Hukanhauta (Karjamäentie), Rantakylä (Latolankatu), University (Carelia parking lot)

Kuopio

• 10.30 am Departure from Snellmania (Yliopistonranta 1)
• 11 am Arrival in IKEA
• 4.30 pm - 4.45 pm  Be at the parking lot of IKEA
• 5 pm Departure from IKEA and dropping everyone off at different student housing areas
  • Puijonlaakso, city centre (Musiikkikeskus), Särkiniemi, Rauhalahti, university
