ISYY Representative Council Meeting’s Decisions 2/2023

The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) held its second meeting of the year on Thursday 13th April 2023. In its meeting, the Representative Council decided the date of the Representative Council Elections, discussed the Facility needs assessment in Joensuu campus, handled the Financial Statement and Annual Report of 2022. The Representative Council also addressed the changes in the composition of the Rules Committee and elected a new deputy member for it.

The Representative Council Elections will be held during the upcoming autumn semester and the Representative Council confirmed the date of the Elections to be 8.11.2023 and the dates of the Advance Voting Period to be 31.10.-3.11.2023. The Representative Council decided that the Elections will be held electronically.

The Representative Council handled the Facility need assessment of Joensuu campus, which was decided to be executed together with the Facility need assessment of Kuopio campus in the last meeting of the Representative Council. The Assessment of Joensuu campus was presented in the meeting and the Representative Council discussed it.

In the meeting, the Financial Statement and Annual Report were handled. The Chair of the Board 2022 Sami Tanskanen presented last year's actions. Unanimously, the Representative Council granted discharge from liability for the accounts for the actors of 2022. 

The Board member Mirka Nieminen is disqualified from the Rules Committee because of their role in the ISYY Executive Board. To replace Nieminen, Juho Väisänen (Keskeiset) was elected as a new deputy member of the Rules Committee. 

The meeting minutes will be published on the ISYY website’s Documents section no later than 14 days after the meeting. The ISYY Representative Council will hold its next meeting on Thursday 11th May 2023.
