The last meeting of the Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) for the 2020-2021 term was held on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
The meeting approved a reservation in the Student Union’s budget to hire an event producer for the year 2022.
In addition, a note was added to the Student Union's action plan for 2022 that ISYY will establish the Eastern Finland Student Foundation. The Representative Council will make a decision in principle to establish the foundation in the spring. The budget also set aside EUR 3 000 for expert fees.
In addition to traditional events and lobbying, other priorities in the Student Union's activities next year include: promotion of space and real estate issues, planning the impact of parliamentary elections, deciding on the introduction of ISYY´s own student card and implementation of new sports and leisure events. In addition, the meeting approved the Student Union's medium-term financial plan. You can find the documents on the material bank on ISYY's website.
The new Representative Council will begin its term of office at the inaugural meeting on December 1th, where e.g. the Chairperson of the Representative Council and the Board will be elected.
