The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland

The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland is a student union in accordance with section 46 of the Universities Act (558/2009), whose special task is to appoint student representatives to institutions in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Universities Act. The Student Union also nominates student representatives to other university administrative bodies.
ISYY announces the application for the following student representative positions:
The Undergraduate Education Development Committee is a working group set up by the Dean to develop the quality of teaching in the faculty, follow and plan study paths, prepare curricula, prepare principles for initial guidance, monitor study progress, admissions and pathways, student choice reform, learning environments and common good practices.
The teaching development working group is a committee in accordance with section 41 of the UEF's by-laws, whose task is to prepare matters related to the teaching and guidance of the language center, such as curricula or principles of guidance.
The Board of Appeal is an impartial institution in accordance with section 82 of the Universities Act, in which university professors, teaching and research staff and other staff, and students are represented. The task of the Board of Appeal is to process the rectification requests made to it regarding the selection of students, the evaluation of the thesis and the evaluation of the study results.
A person who has the right to complete a master's or bachelor's degree or a scientific postgraduate degree at the University of Eastern Finland and who has registered to attend is eligible for the above-mentioned positions of representation. A representative of the undergraduate education development working group of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies is assumed to be a student of that faculty.
