ISYY jointly will hold the Sustainable Development Week at Joensuu and Kuopio Campus during the week 44 on 28.11.-1.11. The week is arranged jointly by SYL (National Union of University Students in Finland).
The aim of the joint project is to show students how climate change particularly affects low-income countries where people from the very beginning have fewer opportunities to adjust to the effects of climate change. However, it is not enough to be aware of this fact if we just complain about the situation because the world will not change by complaining. It is therefore significant that the project tries to activate students to climate-friendly actions.
During this time, ISYY will focus attention on the theme of sustainable development locally on the campuses. With the event, ISYY wants to remind people of the importance of making more climate-friendly choices.
During the week there will be free events open for every student.
