MAY DAY CELEBRATIONS 2013

Academic celebration of 1th of May includes several happenings in every campus. Information will be updated constantly.

May Day celebrations at the Joensuu campus:

29.4. Thirst Day Fundraising at Carelia klo 11−14

30.4. 1th of May eve happenings

• 12.00 Forestry students ”försti” immersing in Ilosaari
• 15:00 Täky postulates the Stones in front of the Carelia
• 15:30 parade leaves from the Stones to Ilosaari
• 16:30 The University Choir performs, the speech of the Student Union in Ilosaari
• In Kerubi 22 pm Skanes and 24 pm Parasta ennen. Tickets presold at SU office.

1.5. 1th of May celebrations

• At noon Student Organizations shared picnic in Ilosaari

May Day celebrations at the Kuopio Campus:

22.−23.4. SU´s night floorball tournament at Studentia 22−06. Both sexes must be presented on the field all the time. Registration begins Mon 8.4. 10am. More info from ISYY´s home page.

24.4. Preemio´s 1th of May-football

26.4. Day of the Gladiators (Kuolo, Dentina, Preemio)

27.4. Socius´s springparty at Wanha Satama

29.4. Savo-Karjala excursion and afterparty at Ilona

30.4. 1th of May eve :

• 13.00 Teeth brushing at Lukema´s yard
• 14.00 Initiation to the Education in the Big auditorium
• appr. 18.00 Pool: immersing the Professor, postulation for siskotyttö and velj´mies
• 21.00 Evening party at Puikkari (presold at Lukema 4€, if you buy ticket in advance, you get past the queue until 23.30.

1.5. Brunch at Lukema with ISYY and student organizations.

• 16.45 adorn Joel Lehtonen statue with flowers
• 17.00 tug of war with MAMK Sohva ry

– Gaudeamus Igitur
– Fuksikaste
