Important information about reduced train travel for students who have not received their card yet

We are experiencing some delays in the printing of the new student cards.

Orders made in July or August should arrive at the Student Union offices (or your home address if you have ordered a card with the payment facility) during the weeks 37 and 38. If you have ordered your card in September, we recommend you wait at least two weeks before trying to collect your card.

We would like to apologise for the delays that have been caused by technical matters unrelated to us.

Please bring an official ID with you when collecting the card!

If you are planning to travel on the train before the end of September and your new card has not arrived yet, reduced price travel is possible just with your official ID and an UEF stamped print-out of your student record (available from Student services) until the end of the month. This means you DO NOT need a separate travel card from VR during September.

Once more: we would like to sincerely apologise for the problems caused by the card printing facility, and hope that this “deal” with VR will help you somewhat while you are waiting for your card to arrive.
