The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland, more commonly known as ISYY (short for Itä-Suomen yliopiston ylioppilaskunta), is your student union. Upon registering your attendance at the University you have paid the Student Union’s membership fee, making you a part of a community consisting of 12,000 students. ISYY offers you a variety of services from tutors to student discounts all the way to sports-related services. Each of the University of Eastern Finland’s three campuses has a Student Union office where you can ask for advice along the way. All of our activities are open to the membership! We are constantly organising activities, events and other topical things for our members, and you can find out more about them through this website. So, don’t forget to keep an eye on the site! RAI*!
*RAI! is our motto. Originally it is a Russian word and it means “Paradise” and that is what ISYY wants to be for the students.
