It’s that time of year again when influenza viruses are beginning to be active. Vaccination is a good way to protect yourself against influenza. Those students who belong to any of the high-risk groups defined by THL (National Institute for Health and Welfare) can get vaccinated at the Finnish Student Health Service, FSHS.
Students who are not at high risk can call the FSHS to request a prescription and buy the vaccine from their local pharmacy. The FSHS will inject the vaccine (and it doesn’t hurt at all!).
FSHS’s units inform on their webpages when and how vaccines are available in your area.
