The next meeting (5/2018) of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland Representative Council for the year 2018 will be held on 8.5. starting at 5 pm in rooms BOR101 (Joensuu), CA304 (Kuopio) and B304 (Savonlinna) via video connection.
In this meeting, the Representative Council will decide about reforming the Equality Plan of the Student Union, revision of the budget due to remunerations of the Executive Board members and closing the KYY-yhtiöt Oy limited company.
ISYY owns the KYY-yhtiöt Oy limited company in its entirety. The company has not have any active actions for years as it has been a so called shelf company. In 2016, the Executive Board of ISYY activated KYY-yhtiöt Oy company’s actions in connection to the OKKK project. In ISYY’s budget and action plan for 2018, both of which the Representative Council has accepted, there have not been reserved money at all for the OKKK project and there are no mentions in the action plan about continuing the project. Thus, Executive Board has considered with the accountant that closing the company would be a justified solution.
In this meeting the Representative Council will also have preliminary discussion about reforming of the Symbol Regulations of the Student Union and will decide about appointing the ISYY’s candidate for the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland for 2019.
The meetings are open for all Student Union members. The meeting will be streamed via UEF streaming service starting at 5 pm.
