Are you interested in societal influencing? Apply for the Student Union’s Executive Board for the year 2018!
The Executive Board of the Student Union for the year 2018 is chosen in the Representative Council meeting on the 8th of December 2017. Those who are interested in the positions of the Executive Board can send their contact details for the Student Union, so the selectors can get to review the candidates. A panel discussion is also being arranged for the candidates on Tuesday 28th of November 2017.
In case you are interested in operating in the Executive Board of the Student Union, please express your willingness and send a motivation letter, which has a short introduction of yourself and a free-form curriculum vitae/resume. We will publish those on the website of the Student Union for other candidates and selectors to be seen. Requested information shall be sent through email for the Secretary for Communications of the Student Union tiedotus@isyy.fi and into the address hakemukset@isyy.fi by Thursday 23rd of November 2017 at 23.59.

The panel discussion for the candidates of the Executive Board is held on Tuesday 28th of November 2017 during 5pm to 9pm in rooms AU102 (Joensuu), CA304 (Kuopio) and B304 (Savonlinna). The public is welcomed to follow the panel discussion!
The Executive Board of the Student Union consists of the Chairperson, two Vice Chairpersons and 3-7 Executive Board members. The Executive Board is the executive organ of the Student Union, selected by the Representative Council. The Executive Board has approximately thirty meetings per year and it participates actively in different sorts of working groups.
In the Executive Board, you can influence on what is being done in the Student Union and in which direction the Student Union is taken into. In addition to that, you can influence matters very closely into the direction of the University. During the year, you create contacts also on the national level with other Student Union operators around Finland. Executive Board members are expected to commit actively into the Executive Board work. Members are being paid a small remuneration for their activities.
The Executive Board of 2017 will brief the new Executive Board during the 13th and 14th of December 2017. Everyone selected into the Executive Board are required to participate in the briefing. The ones selected are also expected to be available during the 18th and 19th of December 2017.
Applicants for the Executive Board are suggested to contact a Chairperson of a suitable Representative Council group and inform that you are interested to apply for the Executive Board of ISYY.
