The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland supplemented ISYY’s Executive Board in its meeting on 15.9.2016. Lina Munčytė was elected as a new member of the ISYY Board. She will replace Laura Carman and be in charge of ISYY’s International Affairs. Lina will start in her position on 9.10.2016.
The Representative Council also decided not to put up a candidate for the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL). The matter was decided by a vote.
In addition, the Council decided that ISYY will take part in the Huominen ilman pelkoa – järjestäytynyt rasismi rikoslakiin (‘Tomorrow without fear – organized racism to the Criminal Code of Finland’) campaign.
The Council also discussed about ISYY’s strategy draft and proposals for updated rules.
The next Representative Council meeting will be held on 26.10.2016.
