Weekly Feed (former Monday Mail) is the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland’s (ISYY) electronic English language newsletter. It will be sent on Tuesdays (excluding holidays) directly to the e-mail addresses of those who have subscribed to it.
Weekly Feed is published on both Joensuu and Kuopio campus.
ISYY also publishes a corresponding Finnish language newsletter, Wiikko-Ärsyke.
The EU law on data protection (GDPR) affects also the administration of ISYY’s newsletter (Wiikko-Ärsyke and Weekly Feed) mailing lists. Due to the regulation, all email addresses except recipients who have joined the list themselves, have been removed from our mailing lists in the end of May 2018. ISYY’s members will be added to the lists in September 2018, but if you want to make sure you receive the first Weekly Feed newsletter of the autumn semester, you should join the mailing list. With the same form you can also remove yourself from the mailing list.
In the future, email addresses that do not work anymore, will be removed from the mailing lists once a semester and the email address of new ISYY members will be added to the lists in the beginning of each semester.
Do you have material for Weekly Feeds?
Weekly Feed editorial teams both in Kuopio and in Joensuu are happy to promote events, activities and opportunities that might be of interest to UEF international students.
If you would like to have something featured in the Weekly Feed, please send a short (max. 500 characters including spaces), informative description of the event/activity in English to either firstname.lastname@example.org (Joensuu events) or email@example.com (Kuopio events). Please include at least the following information: date, time, place, admission fee and the event website/facebook page.
If you want to include pictures, the optimal size is 270 x 270 px. However, please make sure that you have a right to use the pictures that you are sending to ISYY. ISYY is not responsible if you don’t.
Do you want to read ISYY’s newsletters but not order them on your email?
That is possible as well. You will find the newsletters on these sites:
