The Wellbeing Week of ISYY and UEF

The ISYY and UEF Wellbeing Week will take place on week 40 (30.9.-6.10.2019).
The week’s theme will be student mental health and coping. During the week, students and staff have the opportunity to meet local wellbeing operators at Wellbeing Fairs hosted on the campuses. During the week, there will be a polar night info in English and the highly popular dog visitors will be returning to visit both campuses.
JOENSUU
Monday 30.9.
- Wellbeing fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Carelia lobby
Tuesday 1.10.
- FSHS polar night info from 10-11 a.m. in M110
- Orientation to university studies (1131000) workshops for new students on 1.10, from 12 to 3 p.m. on both campuses. If you’re a new student, remember to sign up for the workshops.
Wednesday 2.10.
Thursday 3.10.
- Dog visit by SYKETTÄ, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carelia
Saturday-Sunday 5.10-6.10.
- Badminton match at Länsikatu school, 11.30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
KUOPIO
Bright light breakfasts from Monday to Friday at the Studentia chapel from 7.45 to 9.00 p.m.

- Mahtituote presenting e-bikes and their use from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the end of the Snellmania building (end of hall SN100)
Friday 4.10.
- Blood donation opportunity:
Students and staff have the opportunity to donate blood at the Kuopio blood service office. Friday has been wholly reserved for ISYY and UEF donors. The Kuopio blood service office is open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Puijonkatu 23 (Sektori, 2 nd floor) 70100 Kuopio.
Donors with a taxi card have the opportunity to make use of free taxi rides to and from the
university to the blood service office.
Things to note while using the taxi card:
– Donors are free to use whichever taxi service they prefer.
– Taxi cards are available from the blood service office, with which you can pay for both
journeys.
– The taxi card will refund a journey from the university to Puijonkatu 23, twice within an
hour.
– The appropriate interval for taxi rides to the blood service office is 30 minutes apart in
order to ensure rush-free operation. The first ride may arrive at 10 a.m. The last donors
should be present by 4.30 p.m. so the donations can take place within normal office hours.
– In order to pay with the taxi card, there must be at least four (4) passengers. The taxi card
can only be used for rides with at least four passengers.
