HAPPY TUESDAY!

And happy Wellbeing Week everyone! Have you already signed up for an activity for tomorrow's Sports Afternoon? The day is lecture-free from 12:15 onwards and you can sign up to all SYKETTÄ classes (and some extra ones) even without a membership.

As the days are getting shorter and considerably darker, make sure to take care of yourself. "Kaamos Survival" -lecture on Thursday 3 October gives you great tips about how to enjoy the darkest time of the year in Finland.

Information about perfume allergy

Perfume allergy is becoming increasingly common every year. Nowadays nearly every other person experiences some sort of symptoms which are caused by the everyday smells and scents around us. The symptoms include headache, fatigue, nausea and even physical anxiety. Some suffering from perfume allergy can alleviate their own situation by starting to use fragrance-free products. Others with a more severe allergy, however, continue to experience symptoms which are caused by perfumes and fragrances of people around them – and this is why moderate use of perfumes and fragrances is encouraged.

The number of people at the university is large and so is the range of different scents. Please keep in mind that your colleagues, students, fellow students, teachers or customers may be allergic to perfumes and fragrances. A small action can make the everyday life of people around you easier and also the entire university a more comfortable environment for us all. Taking other people into consideration is a matter of small actions.
