ISYY Representative Council Meeting's Decisions 1/2025
The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) held its first meeting of 2025 on Thursday 20 February.
In the meeting, the Representative Council
- accepted ISYY’s new strategy for 2025-2027. The strategy will be translated into English and added to ISYY’s Documents.
- decided that the Representative Council Chairperson and Vice Chairpersons get a remuneration of 500 € each for taking care of their duties during the 2025 term of office.
- established a Policy Paper Committee. The ISYY Council elected Ville-Pekka Timonen (Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto) as the Chairperson of the Committee and Marko Koskelo (Keskeiset), Ruska Itkonen (Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto), Mikko Miettinen (Keskeiset), Eero Terävä (Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto), Minerva Leinonen (ISYYn Demariopiskelijat) and Kielo Kitunen (Savilahden Sivistyneet) as members. In addition, the Council reserved one seat in the Committee for ISYY’s staff.
- accepted two proposed resolutions made by Marko Koskelo (Keskeiset), one proposed resolution made by Mikko Miettinen (Keskeiset) and one proposed resolution made by Ruska Itkonen (Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto).
