ISYY's Representative Council held its first meeting of 2022 last week on Thursday 24 February. Here are a few mentions of what the Representative Council decided.
The Representative Council decided on the remuneration paid to the presiding officers of the Representative Council in 2022. The decision was that the Chairperson is paid EUR 1,000 per annum for performing their duties and both Vice Chairpersons are paid EUR 500 per annum.
The Representative Council elected members for the Rules Committee and Finance Committee. Eight members and four deputy members were elected for the Rules Committee. Tomi Saviluoto was elected as the Chairperson of the Rules Committee and Mikko Miettinen as the Vice Chair. A total of six members and four deputy members were elected for the Finance Committee. Maria Pulkka was chosen as the Chairperson of the Finance Committee.
In addition, the Representative Council decided to establish a new Committee: Intercultural Committee. Six members were chosen for the Committee and Juliana Friedrichsen was elected to be the Chairperson.
Also to mention a few other matters, the Representative Council also elected members for the Executive Board’s working group that starts updating ISYY’s Equality Plan and the Council decided on practical matter related to hiring a new Secretary General for the Student Union.
