Maria Laurikainen has been elected as the new member of The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland's (ISYY) Executive Board. The decision was made at the ISYY Representative Council Meeting 2/2021 on Thursday the 8th of April, 2021.
Laurikainen studies applied physics at the Kuopio campus of the University of Eastern Finland and has previously acted as a student tutor and UEF Ambassador.
In the ISYY Executive Board, Laurikainen acts in the environment, development cooperation, and communality sectors. Laurikainen will work, among other things, on the Bridges -project.
– I look forward to my upcoming tasks and project work in the ISYY Executive Board, says Laurikainen.
The Executive Board does important advocacy work locally in ISYY, the university, campus cities, and if necessary also nationally together with other student unions.
