Make a difference in Kuopio – Join the International Kuopio Student Committee!

Are you an international student in Kuopio who wants to improve daily life in Kuopio for other students like you? The International Kuopio Student Committee is your chance to gain hands-on experience in networking, influencing, and shaping the future of Kuopio. 

What is the Kuopio International Student Committee? 

The Kuopio International Student Committee is a new group starting in early 2025. Its goal is to improve the daily life and well-being of international students in Kuopio. In the committee you’ll get to share your ideas and make Kuopio a better place for all international students. Any international student from UEF, Savonia and Sakky can apply to join the committee. 

About 15-20 international students are chosen to the committee for 2025. The committee gathers once in a month to discuss about topics important for international students in Kuopio. 

The committee’s task is to prepare meeting agendas for a group that includes people from various organisations, such as the city of Kuopio, universities and schools (UEF, Savonia, Sakky), student unions (ISYY, Savotta) and many more. As a member of the committee, you can share your ideas and help decide what the group talks about and works on. Your voice will make a difference.
