Do you have awesome ideas for free time activities? Become an ESN Kuopio Board Member and make them happen! You do not need to worry about money since ISYY provides all the funding for the club so you can just focus on organising fun activities for fellow students. Additionally, ISYY staff is there to support and help you along the way. Being a Board Member is also a good addition to your CV since it is volunteer work. The club operates in English so participating is a good way to train your English skills.
ESN Kuopio is an international club operating under ISYY and it is also a part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). The mission is to represent international students and provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students. ESN Kuopio introduces Finnish culture and lifestyle to international students and gives Finnish students an opportunity to gain international experiences at home by arranging diverse events and activities. The club also organises trips, for example to Lapland, every semester with travel agency Timetravels.
The club is looking for at least a president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary, but if you are interested in something else, e.g. communications, there is always room for other positions too. You can also join as an active member which means that you help the board organise events when it suits your schedule and you help as much or little as you want. International as well as Finnish students are warmly welcome! Fill in the Google Forms linked below by 18 September and let us know which position you are interested in!
