ISYY Representative Council Meetings' 6/2024 and 7/2024 Decisions
The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) held its sixth meeting of 2024 on Tuesday 26 November and its last meeting of 2024 on 4 December.
Decisions of the 6/2024 meeting
The ISYY Council
- approved the action plan and budget of ISYY for 2025 as well as ISYY’s new environmental programme for 2025-2028.
- elected six members for the Central Election Committee of the Representative Council Elections. Julia Lautala was elected as the Chairperson and Lidia Backlund as the Vice Chairperson. Mikko Nissinen, Jimi Viita-aho, Mirka Nieminen and Simo Heikkinen act as members.
- accepted rule amendments of ISYY’s rules and election regulations for the second time.
- created a fixed-term physical activity advisor role for SYKETTÄ Joensuu.
- accepted two proposed resolutions.
Decisions of the 7/2024 meeting
The ISYY Council
- reverted ISYY’s strategy for 2025-2028 to the preparation stage.
- decided not to elect deputy members for the Central Election Committee of the Representative Council Elections.
- elected Executive Board and Chairpersons of the ISYY Council for 2025. You can read more about the elections via the announcement link below. In addition, the Council elected Siiri Sivonen as the Chairperson of the Joensuu Council for Chairpersons and Arttu Sorsa the Chairperson of the Kuopio Council for Chairpersons.
- accepted two proposed resolutions.
