ISYY organises renewed Sober parties in both campus cities

During this decade, non-alcoholic parties have become increasingly popular, and the demand for sober events has also been evident through ISYY's channels. ISYY has previously organised Sober Disco twice in both campus cities, and the feedback from these events has been almost exclusively positive. This fall, the concept will be slightly modified based on feedback, as more shared activities have been requested for the disco nights - and what could be more fun than playing bingo together with other students!

The Joensuu Sober Bingo & Disco will return on Wednesday 18 September to Kerubi’s Basement. The evening starts at 6 pm with the bingo machine spinning into action, and after bingo the night continues with the traditional Sober Disco until midnight. Bingo prizes include treats and Kerubi’s concert tickets!

The Kuopio Sober Bingo & Disco will be held a couple of weeks after the Joensuu event and will also serve as the after-party for the Sports Afternoon. Kuopio's Sober Bingo & Disco will take place at Apteekkari on Wednesday 2 October 2 starting at 6 pm. The evening will begin with a sweet treat bingo, followed by dancing and singing karaoke until midnight. 

At the Sober Bingos & Discos people enjoy delicious, alcohol-free mocktails. Best of all, after these parties there's no hangover and no need to watch other people drinking. The purpose of these events is to promote an intoxicant-free student event culture and therefore the discos are open to all higher education students.

Please note that being intoxicated in these events is not allowed and the organiser has the right to remove intoxicated customers from the events.
