International ISYY Members Ahoy! – 8 ISYY Services You Can Use Also Abroad

Are you an international degree student staying in your home country and studying online? Are you wondering what you’re entitled to as our member? We’re here for you as well! Here are the services you can use although you aren’t staying in Finland at the moment:

1. Weekly Feed newsletter (published every Tuesday, you can subscribe to it on our website)
    
2. ISYY’s International Discord channel (everyone can use this platform to get to know new people)
    
3. International Coffee Breaks on Discord (every Wednesday at 8am / 4pm / 8pm, check the time and date from Weekly Feed or ISYY’s website calendar)
    
4. ISYY organises a variety of online events, such as Smiles and Complaints week (next week), Wellbeing Week (next week), and Association Days on Facebook (this week).
    
5. ISYY clubs’ possible online events (for example, check out ESN Joensuu and ESN KISA Facebook pages for upcoming events)
    
6. Interest advocacy (Interest advocacy includes and involves guidance, counselling, negotiations, discussions, dialogue, networking and so forth. The objective is to make sure that the voice of students is being heard and that ISYY will be included in decision-making processes on both the local and national level.)
    
7. Customer service in English via email (kv.joensuu(at)isyy.fi / kv.kuopio(at)isyy.fi)
    
8. Anti-Harassment Contact Persons (Offer help and support to students who have encountered harassment or inappropriate behaviour at the University. Please contact them in case you encounter bullying, discrimination, racism, sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior during your studies.)
