Announcement: Seven applications for the Secretary General’s vacancy

The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) received seven applications for the Secretary General’s vacancy during the application period.

The following persons have applied for the General Secretary’s vacancy: Aaltonen Mikko, Hiltunen Tuomas, Juurela Jouni, Kangas Eemeli, Kansanen Helena, Partanen Ella, Rinne Iira.

ISYY’s Executive Board decided 12th January 2023 in its meeting to call four applicants for interviews:

• Aaltonen Mikko, MTheol, M.Adm.Sc., BBA
• Hiltunen Tuomas, MPhil
• Kansanen Helena, MSc. (International Relations of the European Union), BBA
• Partanen Ella, M.Soc.Sc.

The interviews are held on Saturday 21st January in Joensuu. The Representative Council of the Student Union will choose the new Secretary General in it’s meeting on Thursday 2nd February.

The Secretary General is responsible for personnel management in a youthful and diverse organisation. Their main task includes financial administration, personnel matters and public relations. Secretary General prepares and presents matters for the board of the Student Union.
