An appeal for ISYY’s members: Vote in the Representative Council elections!

The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) appeals to every member of ISYY to vote in the Representative Council Elections. You can vote anywhere electronically with your computer, smartphone, tablet or on campus at the ISYY stand with a computer provided by ISYY.

By voting in the Representative Council Elections, you can best influence the most important matters of your student life and take part in the decision-making. The Representative Council members have the power to decide matters concerning the Student Union that affect your time as a student in the University as well as the services offered to you by the Student Union. Thus, voting will affect your life directly! Don’t miss this chance; give your vote to your favorite candidate!

Voting takes no longer than a minute

• All members of the Student Union, who have registered as attending students at the University of Eastern Finland before the 24th of October 2023, are eligible voters.
• You can vote in Tuudo’s Election site. You can go to the site via Tuudo App (Side menu: Representative Council Elections > To the Voting System) or via the link vaalit.tuudo.fi.
• Each person can vote only once.
• You can find the candidates on ISYY’s website. There you can also find a voting aid application which helps you to decide who to vote for if you do not know already.

You can vote during the advance voting days or on the actual voting day:

• Advance voting starts on Tuesday 31.10 at 8:00 and ends on Tuesday 7.11. at 24:00.
• The actual voting day is on Wednesday 0.11. and you can vote between 00.01 am and 6 pm.

By voting you will affect your life as a university student

The Representative Council of the Student Union consists of 39 persons who make significant decisions concerning all students, for example, what kinds of services ISYY offers, how much your ISYY membership fee will be and to what it is used for.

Put simply, the Student Union could be seen as a nation where students are its citizens. The citizens aka students elect the Parliament aka Representative Council, who then elects the Committees and the Government aka Executive Board. Even one vote can make a difference and you are the one who decides who it goes to!

Don’t leave your right to vote unused because you decide who decides!
